Here is a great shot of a Shibuya Gal found in the December 2008 issue of EGG Japan. Below you’ll find a checklist of the latest trends in Shibuya 109 fashion this month.

1. Fur Hat - These hats which remind me of Russian type hats are making a splash in Japan with the Japanese gals. They love them.

2. Checked Pleated Micro Mini Skirt - Micro Mini’s are huge this year and they are a must in every Shibuya gals wardrobe.

3. Over the Knee High Heeled Boots are very popular now and will be well into the Winter next year in 2009. The shiny black thigh high boots are the most popular and will run you about 150 to 200 bucks for a pair. They are worth it though and are built well in Japan. Oh so sexy!

4. Gold accessories. Silver is out and Gold is in! From bracelets to necklaces, Gold jewelry is extremely popular, especially the Jaguar brand in Shibuya 109.

5. Anything black is the color to have in December. You can add a red, blue, or other accent color, but black is in now so grab it while you can.

EGG Japan has just released it’s December issue in stores now. This issue is awesome! Great photographs and lots of new stuff out for early Winter. The main theme of the issues is Gal’s outer wear like Jackets, Boots, and other clothing for walking around Shibuya outside. This issue also seems a bit less casual and much more sexy which I expected for the December dating holiday. Do check out this issue asap. It’s fabulous! As the title says, this month is all about Japanese Gal Model Gossip in Japan. I found the November issue of EGG to be quite excellent this month. The photography and model spreads are fantastic. I also found Egg to be much better than Ranzuki this month with organizing the latest trends. Although EGG is not the best each month, they definitely have a good issue here, so grab it if you can. On the cover you’ll notice the “Eastern European” style hats. They look Russian to me and I must admit I have no idea what they call these. They are becoming popular in the stores, but I have yet to see any Gals wearing these yet. Long, Blonde hair is very popular in this issue. If you catch the photos at Ricoche.net or MySpace/Facebook, you’ll what I am talking about. Everyone is either going really dark or straight Blonde in Japan. As usual, looking sexy is key and there’s lots of ways of achieving that sexy look as outlined in the magazine. I don’t see much with regards to jackets or sweaters yet. I am guessing that next issue will feature some of that. Boots are still on there way to the stores and Jerry Girl shoes are still hot. Lots of new accessories are also coming out which is cool too. So check out those photos and get your Christmas list ready. Shibuya 109 Gals are starting to make a move! Stay Tuned!

Here is a sampling of some of the sexy new boots that are out this Fall in Shibuya, Japan. You can see that the boots are at or over the knee. Actually having a boot that can do both is actually quite popular now. Japanese Gals can choose whether to wear their boots at the knee or over depending on the look. Generally the shorter the dress or skirt, the higher they like the boot. You can also see whether with dresses, shorts, or skirts, the look is quite short and tight. The boots also sport a few more designs and accessories and are just not plain or boring. The ankle belt, strap, or jewelry chain is very popular. One thing I noticed is that the prices are a bit cheaper now. These boot will run about $75. They used to be 2-3 times the price. So gals … go get those boots!!

The November 2008 issue of Possh Japan has been released. At first glance the issue is not all that great for Possh, but after careful review, there are some golden fashion shots! Most notable in this issue is that the color black is THE IN COLOR this fall. The summer was quite colorful, so I can see why black, brown, and darker colors are becoming more popular. Over the knee heeled boots and mini stretch dresses are also becoming very popular. The look reminds me a bit of the Bodycon or Body Conscious look back in the late 80’s and early 90’s. The BodyCon look was made popular by a disco club called Julianna’s Japan. I’ve only been there twice back in the day and it sure was great. Velfarre is a club that was supposed to be a bodycon - less club and in my opinion never grew to become that popular. Back on topic, Bodycon is becoming more popular as evident by the boots, heels, and tight fashion. Japanese Gals are always doing some new, but occasionally they love a little retro along the way. So, do check out the November issue of Possh, especially if you are a Gal interested in Boots, Tight Fashion, and Japanese BodyCon.

NUTS Japan has just released it’s October edition and at first glance it looks pretty cool. This is quickly becoming one of the best quality Japan Gal magazines in Shibuya. You can check out the latest photos on Facebook, MySpace, or in the Ricoche.net Galleries. It’s amazing how it’s still August and the October issues are already released. Last weekend I was out shopping and noticed that the Summer Bargains are still happening without any site or hint of new Fall fashions. They should be out in the stores most likely next week when most of the Japanese Shibuya Gals head back to school.
